Medical Weight Loss Clinic opens new location in Troy

As of mid-June, Medical Weight Loss Clinic has a new location to serve residents in and around Troy, Michigan.

The doors opened Monday, June 15 at 3141 Crooks Road in Troy for the first time.

David Paull, president of Medical Weight Loss Clinic, noted that this newest clinic is slightly larger than both the Birmingham and previous Troy locations it has replaced. The company chose to consolidate those locations into this larger office to better serve those living in this area of Oakland County. 

“It is halfway between the two clinics we are closing,” said Paull. “Looking at where our patients are located, this new clinic is in a better position to service the largest area. We also have clinics in the surrounding area, in Royal Oak, Clinton Township, Warren, and beyond that can service any patients who feel inconvenienced by the relocation.” 

A new Medical Weight Loss Clinic brings with it new experiences for the staff. The new Troy location includes three full-time employees and several others who will work between multiple locations. And patients can still expect the same services they’ve come to appreciate – in a larger, newer space.

“The staff is very excited to move into a new space,” said Paull. “The primary staff will be comprised of people from our previous Birmingham location. The staff from the old Troy location will be transferring to other clinics and they are excited about their new opportunities as well.” 

Karen Markoz is manager at the new Troy location. 

“It’s a brand new clinic,” she said. “That’s a big deal. I am very fortunate and very lucky we actually got this location.”

Markoz said the new clinic is central for patients who can come from all over the area. 

The move is part of a larger plan for Michigan-based Medical Weight Loss Clinic, which brings its services closer to those in need of them. February marked a relocation from Romeo to Shelby Township and one more move is planned for later this year to Clinton Township. 

Medical Weight Loss Clinic currently operates 31 locations in Michigan and Ohio. Clinics are open Monday through Saturday and hours may vary.
