Slow Cooker Marinara
If you like to food prep in advance, you’ll want to multiply this recipe so you can freeze the sauce or prepare your meals for the week! It’s a great way to use all of those fresh tomatoes!
Slow Cooker Marinara
Servings:
4 Vegetables
Suitable for Freedom meal plans only
Ingredients:
½ medium yellow Onion, diced
½ Carrot, peeled and diced
5 Garlic cloves, minced
2 small Tomatoes, diced
1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
Big pinch Cayenne Pepper (if you like a kick)
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and stir to combine. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 9 hours.
If you’re not a fan of chunky tomato sauces, then simply puree this when it’s all done using an immersion stick blender or stand blender.
