Chimichurri Sauce

Chimichurri is an uncooked sauce used in both cooking and as a condiment for grilled meat such as steak. Originating in Argentina and Uruguay, it comes in green or red with dominant parsley and garlic flavors.

Chimichurri Sauce

Ingredients:
1 packed Tbsp Parsley, finely chopped (no stems)
1 packed Tbsp Cilantro, finely chopped
¼ medium Red Onion, finely chopped
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp Water
1-2 Tbsp juice from a fresh Lime
1/8 tsp fresh Black Pepper
1/8 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, or more to taste

Preparation:
Combine the red onion and vinegar, allowing to sit for about 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and mix; set aside in the refrigerator until ready to use (can be made a few hours ahead). Serve alongside your favorite protein!
