National Walking Day 2017

Get Up and Move! These days, we’re spending more time at work and sitting in front of a screen than ever before. We're becoming less active, which can increase our risk of heart disease, stroke and other diseases.

Take the first step to a healthier life by taking part in the American Heart Association's National Walking Day!  On Wednesday this week (April 5th), we encourage our MWLC patients to lace up your sneakers and take 30 minutes out of your day to get up and walk.

Let’s Walk!

While we get into the spirit of being healthy and active this week, we urge you to join the MWLC Team and come walk with us at the American Heart Association Heart Walks in May.

WJBK Fox2: New Year's Tips

Happy New Year! Did you see Tracy from MWLC on FOX 2 Detroit this morning? She was offering tips for setting weight loss goals and recipes for 2017!

Here's one for the morning..... Tip: Skip the Creamer - A cup of coffee has nearly zero calories. A cup of coffee with cream and sugar has 80 calories. If you drink two cups a day, learning to take it black will save you 14 pounds in a year! #Resolutions #Weightloss

Certificate of Appreciation from TACOM

We were visited by a representative from TACOM today and Nick was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for our sponsorship of the US Army Family and MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation). The US Army Family and MWR offers programs, services and activities for US Army Soldiers and their families that they wouldn’t normally be able to afford.  These programs are designed to relieve stress, build strength and resilience, and help the Army Family stay physically, mentally, and financially fit.

We are thrilled to support this great cause and appreciate the recognition!
